The Bowen Technique

The Bowen Technique is a gentle yet powerful treatment that promotes healing, pain relief and energy rebalancing.

The treatment consists of gentle moves over precise points on the body to stimulate the muscles and soft tissue. These moves empower the bodies own resources to naturally re-balance and heal itself.

The treatment takes approximately 45 minutes and can be performed through light clothing. Conditions that have responded well to Bowen Therapy are:-

 ·                    Back pain and sciatica

·                    Digestive problems including IBS

·                    Earache, infections, migraines

 

·                    Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome

 

·                    Knee, ankle and foot problems

 

·                    Menstrual and hormonal problems

 

·                    Neck/shoulder problems incl. frozen shoulder

 

·                    Groin pain, pelvic tilt, uneven leg length

 

·                    Respiratory problems and hay fever

 

·                    RSI, carpal tunnel and tennis elbow

 

·                    Sports and accident injuries

My name is Heather Rayner. I am a member of the Bowen Therapists European Register (BTER). I have trained in both Human and Equine Bowen Therapy with the European School of Bowen (ECBS). I also have a Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology and Exercise Studies. I am a British Horse Society Preliminary Instructor (BHSPI) and have owned and ridden horses all my life. I like to compete at Dressage and Eventing.

Human Bowen

I run my clinics in Cheshunt in Hertfordshire. I charge £40 for the first appointment and £35 afterwards.  If three sessions are paid in advance I allow a special price of £105.

I only do Home visits if necessary and a small charge will be made for travelling time and petrol. Discounts negotiable for regular appointments.

 

 Equine Bowen

I will visit any yard in the Herts/Essex area. I charge £50 for the first assessment, treatment and photos and £40 for further treatments. If three sessions are paid in advance i allow a special price of £125.

I also charge a small amount for travelling and petrol. This will be shared if more than 1 horse is treated on the same day.
